Minister Kean announces two new BCT conservation tenders

The NSW Environment Minister Matt Kean has announced the BCT’s two new conservation tenders opening in November 2019. Expressions of interest in the Central West Rivers and the Southern Highlands Koala Habitat conservation tenders open on 4 November 2019 .

Property holders in eligible areas with native vegetation of sufficient size and condition (and koala habitat in the case of the Southern Highlands tender) may be eligible to apply for the tender. Expressions of interest for these tenders are open for four weeks, from 4 November 2019.

Landholders can partner with the BCT through conservation tenders which are part of the BCT’s Conservation Management Program. The program is for landholders in priority investment areas or with conservation assets seeking to enter agreements with annual conservation management payments. The BCT uses a range of mechanisms, including Conservation Tenders and Fixed Price Offers, to encourage landholders to participate.
